Dolcetto is an Italian grape variety that is little known or planted in Australia. The variety hails from the mountainous Piedmont region of north-west Italy. Translated literally, 'Dolcetto' means 'little sweet one'. This wine has fresh, lifted aromas of red jubes, blackberries, red currants, hints of spice and liquorice. The palate has flavours of ripe summer berries and a natural grape sweetness that is balanced by the frizzante mouth-feel providing a refreshing, lively finish.

Cable Bay Vineyards is dedicated to producing handcrafted wines known for their elegance and depth. Taking an Old World approach and combining it with New World techniques, Cable Bay's vibrant wines are beautifully expressive of the sites upon which they were grown. Blackberry, medjool date and doris plum aromatics bounce from the glass of Five Hills. The palate has solid tannin structure and beautiful shape, which will integrate and soften with time ageing in bottle. There are blackcurrant, chocolate and smoky flavours on the palate, with a mineral texture that is reminiscent of clay pots hot from the kiln, and volcanic rock. The natural acidity of the Malbec provides direction and length.

Campo Viejo Ecologico is their most exciting expression in terms of sustainability. It combines organic wine, sustainable practices and improved packaging without compromising the quality of the wine. They carefully converted and certified their vineyard in Rioja to an organic vineyard, selecting the highest quality of organic grapes. This wine is bottled in a lightened bottle with 75% recycled glass and the bottle is 100% recyclable in its entirety. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, this organic wine is also certified vegan. Very fragrant mouth, with good structure and a fresh and fruity finish. The nose is flooded with signature Tempranillo red fruit, plums and blackberries, further enhanced with strawberries and delicate herbal notes contributed by the Garnacha. Perfectly paired with cured meats, poultry, pizza and pies.

Gorgeous aromas of bright cherry, blackcurrant and dark plum with toasted oak. A Medium bodied palate with silky tannins and long, ripe fruit and berry aftertaste, with impressive balance of fruit and polished tannins.

Shiny cherry red colour. On the nose, beautiful ripe red fruit notes stand out (cherry, plum) on a smoky background with liquorice hints. On the palate, it is easy-drinking, with smooth tannins and very fruity. Long and elegant aftertaste.

Aromatic nose of concentrated blackcurrant fruit with dark chocolate and violet notes. A concentrated wine with layers of dark berry and cassis fruit, mingling with dark chocolate and tobacco leaf notes. Long lingering finish.

Chard Farm's Mata-Au vineyards are located in the Lowburn and Parkburn areas of the Cromwell basin. The vineyards are planted on the terraces and alluvial schist based soils formed by the Mata-Au (Clutha) River (pronounced martar-o). The unique combination of site, soil and mild continental climate produces perfumed wines with elegant texture, structure and mineral length. It is made from the best blocks in our best vineyards in the Lowburn/Parkburn sub-region. Mata-Au showcases the succulent red fruits and silky tannins that are the hallmarks of this sub-region, delivered in our elegant, textural and length driven style. The bouquet becomes increasingly attractive as it shifts through ripe red berries, sweet floral tones, darker spicy notes and herby complexity. The fresh red fruits, spice, and later wild herb flavours hold a wonderfully harmonious shape and texture, nicely supported with fine persistent tannins and calm acidity.

The harvest from these parcels is always carried out later because of the dominant varieties, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon. Careful vinification gives this wine depth, elegance and length in the mouth. The floral bouquet of the Cabernet variety is predominant in the wines youth but develops later towards the more complex aromas of a Grand Vin de Bordeaux. Beautiful deep colour with purple tints. Focused and fruity nose with faint toast in the background. The same fairly elegant aromatic combination flows through to the palate. A very accessible, supple, crisp Bordeaux.
