The nose, very open and expressive, delivers aromas of fruit and brioche. It also gives off the fragrance of peach, white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) and vanilla pod. The entry onto the palate is lively, fresh and in total harmony. This is a delicate wine with flavours of fresh fruit and honey.

Closeburn is Chard Farm's un-oaked Chardonnay. The fruit is grown throughout the Central Otago region and exhibits the regions natural elegant fruit flavours and mineral complexity. The wine is fermented in tank to retain its bright fruit. It is then left to rest on its yeast lees to gain some doughy complexity and softness. This is a refreshing full-bodied wine, unencumbered by oak and superb with food. Juicy nectarine and pear fruits, with apple blossom floral tones giving a nice lift to the attractive bouquet. The palate displays wonderful purity of tree fruit flavour. There is a nice flow to the structure and length, with good balance and chewy acidity.

Chard Farm's Mata-Au vineyards are located in the Lowburn and Parkburn areas of the Cromwell basin. The vineyards are planted on the terraces and alluvial schist based soils formed by the Mata-Au (Clutha) River (pronounced martar-o). The unique combination of site, soil and mild continental climate produces perfumed wines with elegant texture, structure and mineral length. It is made from the best blocks in our best vineyards in the Lowburn/Parkburn sub-region. Mata-Au showcases the succulent red fruits and silky tannins that are the hallmarks of this sub-region, delivered in our elegant, textural and length driven style. The bouquet becomes increasingly attractive as it shifts through ripe red berries, sweet floral tones, darker spicy notes and herby complexity. The fresh red fruits, spice, and later wild herb flavours hold a wonderfully harmonious shape and texture, nicely supported with fine persistent tannins and calm acidity.

The harvest from these parcels is always carried out later because of the dominant varieties, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon. Careful vinification gives this wine depth, elegance and length in the mouth. The floral bouquet of the Cabernet variety is predominant in the wines youth but develops later towards the more complex aromas of a Grand Vin de Bordeaux. Beautiful deep colour with purple tints. Focused and fruity nose with faint toast in the background. The same fairly elegant aromatic combination flows through to the palate. A very accessible, supple, crisp Bordeaux.

Château de Pez is one of the oldest properties in Bordeaux's Left Bank and consists of 118 continuous acres with 103 acres planted to prime grape varieties, mainly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Château Minuty 281 is a daring, airy, gastronomic rosé. Created in 2015, this cuvée takes its name from the Pantone 281 blue adorning the bottle, a tribute to both the Mediterranean Sea and the visionary spirit of Étienne Matton, who in the 1970s selected the exclusive Grenache clones now dedicated to this wine. Harvested by hand from the estate's finest HVE-certified plots and crafted from selected free-run juices, Minuty 281 undergoes cool fermentation without malolactic conversion, preserving its pure, expressive aromatic finesse. The nose bursts with fruit from white-fleshed notes to touches of the exotic, unfurling gracefully as the minutes pass. On the palate, it's complex, saline and strikingly fresh, a textural reflection of its AOP Côtes de Provence origins and the estate's three signature terroirs of schist, clay and sand.

The nose of this wonderful Côte de Provence shows initially freshly cut grass, flowers petals and light red berry fruits. The mouth is endowed with roundness, finesse with a beautiful, sensual body.
