Villa Da Vinci is home to the largest expanse of vineyards in the countryside of Vinci, the town that was the birthplace of Leonardo situated on the hills of Chianti Montalbano in the province of Prato west of Florence. The vineyards of Villa da Vinci have always been considered among the best in the territory of Montalbano in terms of exposure, soil, and care of viticulture.

Enticing aromas of Turkish delight, chocolate, red and black cherries, vanilla and red plum. These follow through to the palate with an added hint of butterscotch and smooth, supple tannins. A very big structured wine with good fruit concentration on the palate. This fruit is carried through in a long lingering aftertaste.

'De la terre'; literally 'of the earth' is a reference to both the vineyard soils and the earth brick construction used for the winery and cellar door. De La Terre's winemaking methods are largely traditional with emphasis on minimal handling to retain the integrity and concentration of fruit. Deep purple and fragrant, with red cherry, dark plums, blackberry, violets, leather and spice on the nose. The palate is rich and concentrated with dark red fruits and hints of tobacco and coffee. A complex concentrated wine with ample velvety tannins, a lovely mineral acidity and a very long finish.
