The Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon, first released in 2001, has been inspired by the great cricketing history of this vineyard. The wines consistently show great line and length. The nose leads with aromas of fresh tobacco leaf, cassis, boysenberry and spice. A silk like entry on the palate with super fine, detailed tannin, ripe berried fruits, a hint of tobacco and the classic brambles of Clare Cabernet to finish.

This Shiraz honours the vision of pioneer Clare Valley winemaker Jim Barry and his wife Nancy. In 1964, Jim and Nancy purchased 70 acres of prime land from Duncan McRae Wood and planted their first vineyard with Shiraz. It was an inspired choice of both grape variety and location. Vibrant aroma of lifted violets, red currant, and perfectly ripe back plum, combine with well-integrated spice and a hint of very smart oak hidden in the background. The palate has commanding fruit with a density that stands to attention. Effortless flow throughout with flavours of ripe plum and purple fruits and layered fine tannin.
