Think whisky sour, but with a float of red wine to finish. The splash of red balances the sweet whisky base & adds depth of flavour.
You will need:
- 60ml bourbon
 - 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
 - 30ml simple syrup
 - 2 Tbsp fruity red wine
 - 1 strip lemon zest
 
To make:
- Fill a shaker with ice, add bourbon, lemon juice & simple syrup.
 - Shake until chilled, then strain into a rocks glass with large ice cubes
 - Gently pour the wine into the glass over a spoon, so it settles on the top
 - Twist the lemon peel over the cocktail to release the oils, then run it around the rim & add to the glass as a garnish
 - Serve immediately
